If you heard me sitting in for Moose on Friday and again on Saturday evening you may have heard that I am being honoured by having a dog named after me. Now this isn't just any old mutt I might tell you. No, this is a Labrador with full pedigree. You know the sort, the sort of dog that has to be registered with the Kennel Club and have a posh name. Yes that sort of Dog! the sort that goes on to win Best of Breed in Crufts or Best In Show. I have to also explain that the two girls whelpin' the prospective mother(Yes I now know all the technical terms) are Mica and Kayleigh and they are keeping an eye on things and hopefully soon I can announce the pitter patter of tiny paws. The dog will be reared on AC/DC and anything played on 106.1 Rock Radio in general so it will get the very best start in life that is possible. When the little pup finally does make it into the big wide world it will be honoured with the full and rather regal name of Holcroft Captain Kirk. Remember that name in a few years you will no doubt see him at Crufts and later appearing in TV adverts for Pedigree Chum. It is a humbling moment for me and of course I will be keeping you updated with the latest news on the addition to the Kirkman Clan.
