How many times have you read something about a famous band that sadly is no longer around and thought I wish I could have seen them live in concert.
Well I pondered that question last Saturday and asked which band would you like to see re form for a concert. It could be any band from the past forty or so years and even if the band included members who were no longer with us on the physical plane as it were you could nominate them.
I was quite surprised by some of the entries although not everyone took it seriously. ABBA are not really a rock band guys and perhaps it might be a good idea to let Rush split up first before suggesting they reform.
All things considered though it was a good list and the top ten is listed below along with the honourable mentions. Thanks for your contributions.
1. Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here Line Up
2. Genesis with Peter Gabriel
3. Led Zeppelin
4. The Who with Moon and Entwistle
5. The Doors with Jim Morrison
6. Deep Purple with Coverdale and Hughes
7. AC/DC with Bon Scott
8. Van Halen with David Lee Roth
9. Journey with Steve Perry
10. Marillion with Fish
Honourable Mentions
Grateful Dead with Jerry Garcia
The Jam
The Beatles
Jethro Tull Thick As A Brick era
Supertramp with Roger Hodgson
Faith No More
Nirvana
Rainbow with Ronnie James Dio
Ozzy Osbourne with Randy Rhoads
Pink Floyd with Syd Barrett
To be honest I would pay to see any of those bands live and while for some of those bands it is impossible to ever see them live again at least on 106.1 Rock Radio you can hear them
